San Francisco

The last instalment of diary type photos from my trip to the West Coast and the last two days were spent in the amazing San Francisco home of flower power. We were super lucky with the weather and arrived just in time for their two hottest days of the year so far (after being told by some San Franciscan guys in Bass Lake that it would be chilly and cloudy, lieeeees.) We stayed at the Radisson which is located in the popular Fisherman Wharf area.

On our first day San Francisco we indulged in pancakes for breakfast at IHOP which was ideally located right next to our hotel, amazing but so filling only ended up eating one full one. We had a morning tour to see the city, the parks, cable cars, Golden Gate Bridge and other sights as well as driving through China Town and Little Italy. After the tour me and Linda went on the Bay Cruise to go underneath the bridge, see Alcatraz from the boat, we also saw Dolphins and lots of seals. I would definitely recommend anyone going to SF to go on the Golden Gate Bay Cruise, totally worth the money and they don't promote that you might see Dolphins or crank up the prices because of this, so it was a lovely surprise. Sadly that night was our last night of our holiday but it was a great night, we all went out for dinner at a restaurant called Neptunes which was on Pier 39 (there's lot of different Piers in SF) it overlooked the harbour, sleeping sea lions, The Golden Gate and Alcatraz are all in close view. We sat down drinking wine and seeing the sun leave the sky as it set over San Fran, after our meal we went over the Bay Bridge to see the breathtaking views of the city all lit up and twinkling before heading to the Hyatt hotel for cocktails.

On our second day (last day, sob) we had basically a full day in San Fran, My sister Lindy and I decided we wanted to spend the day in San Fran whereas Emma and Hayley went to Sausalito. We woke up early and had breakfast at Johnny Rockets, then off on the Powell - Hyde Cable Cart (which gets super busy, but lovely and quiet in the morning before 9 or so) We paid a visit to Union Square, mainly just to sit in the sun and pop to Victorias Secret (yoga pants!) Me and my sister spent the remainder of the day in the park at Hyde Pier, enjoying the last of sun, eating In N Out burgers and fries. It was a perfect last day to the perfect trip and one of the best I have ever been on. It's no secret I love America but  I fell head over heels for California.
