Jaymie in Berlin

I had such a beautiful time in the fun but chilly city of Berlin in its crisp autumnal sunshine. I found myself feeling all sentimental and thoughtful. This year commerates, 25 years since the Berlin wall finally came down in Novemeber 1989. 8000 balloons lined where the wall use to stand and divide the country which were set up on November 7th and we spent the evening at Checkpoint Charlie we drunk mulled wine, ate chips, used photo automats and felt the chills run down our spines at the poignancy of the installation and celebrations.

Some of the best views are seen from the Fernsehturm viewing tower, which can be easily found (it's the big pointy building) in Alexander platz it only cost 13 euros to go up and see the 360 views of the city. You can even enjoy a chilled glass of prosecco or nice cup of tea whilst looking at the buildings below in the restaurant at the highest point.

Now for the most important information… food. Want to try some of the best burgers in the EU head to Hans im Gluck in the Friedrichstrabe district, a burger joint which resembles a pine forest, with it's tree trunks and wooden interior.
